Compression socks for skiing
Compression socks ALPINE SKI EMBOSSOM: this model features an improved ankle and calf muscle protection thanks to the shields with increased fabric count – this is why they are perfect for alpine skiing and daily use at temperatures between -5C° and -15C°.
Compression multi-layered socks of a high density – still lightweight due to heterogeneal structure and the materials used. A light polyamide warp and a soft, warm SCHOELLER ™ polycolone combination means duration and heat retention.
Shields keep the skin from irritation, compression supports the ankle joint and calf muscles.
Polyamide 54%; Polycolon 16%; Acryl 18%; Spandex 6%; Lycra 6%;

This material is noted for its ability to quickly take on its original form. It can stretch 5-7 times. Bringing Spandex fibers in technologically necessary places, we ensure a tight fit and the required compression effect.
Adding this sort of elastane (even a bit) in the formula gives socks excellent elasticity and stretchability. It guarantees comfort in wear and ensures that product’s size and appearance remain the same as on the day of purchase, even after several washings.
This modified sort of yarn provides the best protection and durability.
It is supplemented with antimicrobial impregnation.
Schoeller thread consists of hydrophobic polypropylene fibers. Due to capillary effect this material drains moisture to the upper layers of fabric and dries quickly. It holds heat in due to fiber’s low thermal conductivity, and it’s resistant to wear as well.
Acrylic synthetic fibers are more resistant than natural ones. Proper use of these threads increases socks durability. Also, the material keeps the original shape, it is very soft and comfortable to the touch.
Socks’ soles are knitted in accordance with feet anatomical structure, depending on whether the sock is to wear on the left or right foot. As a result, the socks fit snugly, following every inflection of feet surface.
The moisture removal system is due to threads tubular structure which greatly drains any fluid away from feet. Technological fibers absorb moisture from the skin, bring it to fabric surface and then evaporate it, drying out in a very short time.
The protective shields complex is an advanced foot-arch, toes, heels and Achilles tendon support. These areas take on the greatest load and get vulnerable during alpine skiing.
This is a “smart” knitting taking the foot shape, stretching and shrinking if required. A remarkable fabric texture adapts to every foot surface inflection and “remembers” its unique features.
The introduction of special high-tech elastic threads to the sock structure allows for a tight fit and provides a compression effect around gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. This effect significantly reduces muscles cramps during prolonged static and static-dynamic exercises.
